And so, Elijah went out and stood at the entrance of the cave. Suddenly, there was a great and powerful wind, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. And after the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire.
Finally, Elijah heard a gentle whisper, and as he listened, the fire of God descended upon the altar and consumed it completely. The people saw this miracle and proclaimed, "The Lord - He is God! The Lord - He is God!"
V. The Redemption
With the power of God manifested before their eyes, King Ahab and his prophets were forced to acknowledge the truth. They fell to the ground and cried out in fear and repentance for their idolatry. And so, the Lord answered Elijah's prayer and sent rain upon the earth once more.
The land bloomed again with abundant crops and fruitful trees, providing sustenance for all who lived there.
